CHRISTMAS will get off to a bright start in Tarporley with the turning on of the festive lights on December 1st this year.

The action takes place from 5:30pm under the chestnut tree on the High Street where you'll be able to join in singing carols and count down to the big switch on.

Listen to the blessing of the crib, enjoy mulled wine, mince pies and roast chestnuts. You'll also find activities for the children including a visit from Father Christmas in his sleigh!

We also have some fabulous restaurants, bars and pubs  in the village, so why not stay for a bite to eat or a drink! Book ahead!
